I am excited to teach 4th grade at Madison Elementary this year! In the past, I have taught 5th grade, English Language Learners from all grades, and most recently worked as a Dean of Students. I am a graduate of Olivet Nazarene University in Illinois and have completed my Master’s degree in Educational Leadership from Viterbo University in Wisconsin.
My family includes my husband, who is also a teacher, and my two children, Nicholas and Noella. Nicholas is in 3rd grade this year and Noella is 4-years-old. They have taught me more about children and teaching than I thought possible! In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my family, reading, running, and working in my yard.
I am looking forward to using all of my experiences to help your child grow as both a learner and a person. We will have an engaging and exciting school year!
I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Education from Louisiana Tech University and my Master’s degree from Drake University. I also have a Reading Endorsement and ESL Endorsement. Before at Madison, I taught fourth grade in Chicago, ELL in Des Moines, and kindergarten/first grade in Intensive English Language Center.
I truly feel very lucky to have the best job in the world!!
