Tips for Student Success: Sleep

As we return to school and to a “normal” schedule, it is important to consider whether or not your child is getting enough sleep.  The challenging school workload along with their ever growing bodies makes it so that students need A LOT of sleep.  For example a Kindergarten student should sleep around twelve hours a night.  Although an older student may require less, the minimum amount an elementary student should receive is ten hours.  This along with a healthy diet and exercise will ensure that your child comes to school focused, ready to learn, and ready to work with others.  Along with this, its always nice to get them to bed early so we, as parents, get some time for ourselves   😀
