Madison Elementary School’s Drama Club performed The Jungle Book Kids on Thursday, April 16th at Harding Middle School. There were about 30 students in the performance. The performance was “Magical”, said Madison Principal Cory Heaberlin.

DMPS will again offer breakfast and lunch over the summer months to children 18 and younger. The number of sites has grown, and so have the number of meals served. Last summer, DMPS staff fed children 28,722 breakfasts and 79,698 lunches. DMPS has sponsored a summer meal program for more than 30 years. 20 Madison Physical Education students participated in Des Moines Public Schools First-Ever District tournament! Students were selected to take part in the tournament because they demonstrate good character within their PE class. Way to go kids!
