Synergy Jazz Members visit Madison

This past week Madison was visited by Synergy Jazz. Synergy Jazz has a priority of providing young students the opportunity to experience world-class musicians preforming in an accessible setting. This year drummer and composer Matt Wilson was the lead clinician. One idea that Matt shared with us at Madison was that musicians are artists. Just as a painter uses paint or a chef uses different food ingredients to create their works of art musicians use sound and silence to create masterpieces.  Because Jazz makes use of improvisation every performance is a special connection between the audience and the Musicians. We sure felt special to be able to listen and share the positive experience that Synergy Jazz created with and for us this past Friday!
