Focused fifth graders

Fifth grade students have been hard at work on their academic expectations which include learning about coordinate planes, graphing, attributes of shapes, determining volume, writing letters, and learning about the skeletal system.  They also examined owl pellets to find the skeletal remains of the rodents that owls ingested.  The children continue with their health and nutrition units that encourage a healthy lifestyle.  As always, each student spends time reading, thinking, and writing to accomplish their learning goals.
