Kindergarteners Learn Fire Safety!

Firefighter Chris Vitek came during fire prevention week to teach kindergartners about fire safety. He showed them all of his gear and explained how he uses it. He spent a lot of time getting them comfortable with how he looks and sounds with his uniform completely on to help them understand that if there is ever a real fire, not to be afraid of his strange appearance and hide, but to go to him for help. He also taught them stop, drop, and roll, and encouraged the kids to have home fire drills. The kids loved meeting a real hero!
