What’s in a Name?
5th grade students used lines to create box and bubble letters. Students practiced using these skills to create posters for Boogie on the Blacktop a Madison Elementary afterschool event. Each student created a bubble letter to add to the poster to create collaborative art pieces. These posters were on display for everyone who attended the event to see.
Students used these new found skills to create individual art projects. Students created name mountains and namerfalls (name waterfalls) using the letters from their first, middle, or last name. Students colored in their letters using fun patterns in warm or cool colors. These skills, allowed them to create an art piece totally unique to them!
