Madison Students are ‘Acting Right!’

artist toolboxThe special education students at Madison Elementary are wrapping up another year of learning. All students receive core instruction in reading, writing, math as well as differentiated curriculum at each child’s instructional level in small groups throughout the day. Some students also receive social skills lessons in small groups so that they can acquire the skills necessary to make strong choices and how to turn their behavior around when making weak choices at first. Part of Madison’s designation as a Turnaround Arts includes learning the Acting Right curriculum which helps all students be in control of their body, voice, imagination, concentration and cooperation. Artists in residence and field trips in the arts have enriched our students’ lives and education this year as well.
