Using Music to Find Students’ Creativity!

Creativity is shaking the rafters as music is being made in 4th grade at Madison! We are working on a unit that uses many American folk songs to fine tune student’s comprehension skills while developing music literacy and fluency. Students are discovering just how much meaning can be conveyed in a simple song. From Cotton-Eye Joe to Frog went a Courtin’ students are becoming aware of music’s role in the social cohesion that is passed down in our culture from generation to generation.
