Enthusiastic 4th & 5th Graders

4th and 5th grade small groups at Madison Elementary have been working hard this week on learning about gestures and sound effects. Soon, they will be using these gestures and sound effects to make Reader’s Theater exciting. They have been working on fluency, which encourages students to read smoothly, with expression or like they are “talking to a friend”. They have also been working on reading words correctly and understanding what they’re reading. Lastly, this week has been helping students increase their confidence in reading.
