Boogie on the Blacktop

Madison Elementary School hosted the annual event Boogie on the Blacktop on Friday, September 22nd. The ninety-degree weather did not stop students, parents, and teachers from busting a move on the blacktop. The event featured many different activities for students and their families. The Portrait Studio drew portraits of students and their families. A couple of students asked if they could help and began drawing their own creative ideas. A special performance by the Harding Breakerz brought the entire crowd around the performers. Their floor movements and athleticism brought ohhs and ahhs from the crowd. The group included former Madison students who were able to perform for their friends and siblings. At the end of the performance, everyone joined in and danced with the Breakerz. Attendees were able to refuel on the hot pizza and popcorn provided by Madison PTO. It was a great way to kick off the school year!
