Fifth Grade Frenzy

Madison Fifth Graders have been extremely busy. They have worked hard to create a superb team atmosphere, which has created a wonderful working environment. The fifth graders are working in groups in math and reading and learning how important it is to work together to solve problems and how to share information to help each other. This wonderful group has had their first Authors’ Social, celebrating their personal narratives. Families, Madison staff and friends were invited to celebrate their accomplishment. These special visitors were able to read each student’s published piece of writing, while enjoying refreshments. The fifth grade also performed for Grandparent/VIP day, which was held on November 21st. The students recited poems titled, Winter Weather and Fall Feelings. Also, there was a local Marine Veteran that visited the 5th graders and shared his experiences. The students then wrote to family and friends that are in the military.
