Helping Your Child Build Positive Relationships:

One thing we do each week at Madison is teach a social skill to all of our students.  These skills are taught each Wednesday during Morning Meeting.  The purpose of doing this is to help students know how to interact with peers in positive ways and to prevent bullying.  Over the course of the school year we will cover topics like manners, asking thoughtful questions, how to ask for help, how to join in a game, etc.  Each week in this email I will let you know what social skill we are teaching.  I would encourage you to talk to your child about these skills so that they can applying them each day at school.
