Helping Your Child Build Positive Relationships:  I wanted to take a second to remind parents of how important it is to engage students in school (and life) through after school activities.  By after school activities, I am referring to participating in sports, learning an instrument, being in a drama club, etc.

Having your child in these activities helps them build relationships with kids who have similar interests.  Along with this, it helps them to learn the benefit of hard work and commitment to a new activity.  If you need help finding an activity for your child to participate in, I would suggest checking with Des Moines Parks and Rec.  You can find their website HERE.
